Cross ~ Over

Throughout this year we have experienced and expected a continuous increase in the manifestation of the precious Holy Spirit.  We were aware of His urgency upon us, moving us along as He did the mighty apostles and saints of past centuries and seasons of times.  It has been, and shall be, like the Prophet Elijah hearing the sound of the abundance of rain coming.  A holy hush and stillness with the sensitivity of the hovering of the Holy Spirit prevailing in our midst.

Day after day we have known and seen His mighty, yet gentle, workings within and upon us, and around us in people, places and things.  Many testimonies are coming forth in unprecedented numbers of answered prayer and lives changing.  Our eyes have witnessed the miraculous in deliverance, people being born again, and souls and bodies being healed.

During April I was talking with Pastor Al Jandel who is a mighty man of God.  He began to speak of the automobile industry advertising their “cross-over” which was to be released in June.  The quickening of the Holy Spirit began to explode in me.  He said many things and among them he stated he believed this would be a time of “cross-over in the Spirit for the Body of Christ”.  As Pastor Al shared, I felt as if I had found a cool oasis in the desert, and what a refreshing and excited expectation took place within me.  I knew this was the Word of the Lord speaking in a loud voice and with great authority.

Yes, God was and is moving every day.  But the next event that I want to share with you took place on April 21, 2006.  As my custom is, I was praying and seeking God for that evening’s mighty worship service.  Suddenly, the Lord spoke to me saying, “The problem with the Church of America (that is all churches who stand for salvation through and in Jesus Christ) is they have forgotten and put aside the Greatness of God!  They have allowed problems to become greater than I Am!”

That evening a mighty ministry of God’s Word was delivered in the Holy Spirit, power, manifestation, and demonstration.  Again on Saturday I prayed and sought the Lord.  Because he had given so much to me on Friday I assumed I would be ministering on “The Greatness of God” the entire three days.  Saturday evening what I now know to be the hovering and brooding of the Holy Spirit was present.  For about 10 minutes I ministered the Word, but as Brother Hagin used to say, “It was like washing my feet with my socks on”.  Something was amiss.  During this brief time I looked “into the Spirit”, and at the people, and they looked at me.  All of us were “wondering”.

Then, suddenly, the word of knowledge that God had given me in my hotel room burst forth.  I spoke it out.  People responded and from that moment on the Holy Spirit magnified and glorified Jesus Christ in our midst by signs and wonders.  What a night in our history!  The Holy Spirit had indeed been Lord in power!  The operation of the Father, the administration of the Son, and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit were eternally demonstrated.  The greatness of God overshadowed all!

Sunday morning I could only hear God saying, “Teach on the Holy Spirit.”  I obeyed and taught a completely filled sanctuary of people.  As Pastor Cesar Chavez (one of the wisest and most Holy Ghost pastors I know) drove Lucy Hawkins and me to the airport I said, “Pastor Cesar, yesterday morning was an introduction of the Holy Spirit to the people.”

He looked at me in amazement and said, “I had told my leader intercessor at 9:30 am, ‘I must introduce the Holy Spirit to these people and I don’t know how.  Please pray for me’.  She came to me after the service and said, ‘Do you believe God answered our prayers?’  I stand in holy reverence of the awesome God and His greatness.”

You see, during the previous six months his church had filled with people coming from the Catholic and Protestant churches, as well as new believers.

I made a commitment and determined to be “willing and obedient” to Almighty God when I saw the compassion and the mighty hand of God as I ministered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as chaplain for the House of Representatives.  The purpose and plan and perfect will of God had been ‘shut up in my bones’ for a season of years while God worked in me and prepared me for the present and that which is to come.  Now is the time!

THE WORD AND HOLY SPIRIT SHALL PREVAIL IN HOLY GHOST, POWER, DEMONSTRATION AND MANIFESTATION!!!

The Upper Room Assembly May 25-27 was ‘joy unspeakable and full of glory’.  Again, the hovering and brooding of the Holy Spirit prevailed.  I looked at Dan (my son)

who was sitting on the front row and asked, “Do you have something from the Lord, Dan?”  He had also been in a season of preparation.

            Suddenly, the velocity of the wind of the Holy Spirit came into that room and upon him and he stood up and saints, if I have ever seen and heard the Holy Ghost manifesting through a person to the people, I witnessed it on Thursday night.  Truly, God was using one of His prophets in a mighty way.  This set the plumb line and standard for the days of the assembly.  I witnessed the awesome manifestations of the Holy Spirit that I had witnessed in the seventies and early eighties during this assembly.  What can we say?  God has caused us to “cross-over”.  Every meeting is “more” than the last one.  I can truly say that the seven Spirits and the seven symbols of the Holy Spirit have prevailed.  And I know, ‘we ain’t seen nothing yet; in Jesus the best is yet to come’.  Get ready and expect!  Of the seven symbols, God is resting on the fire!  FIRE!  FIRE!  FIRE!!!!!

            The flow of the Holy Spirit is present.  “Now glory be to God!  By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope”  (Ephesians 3:20 NLT).

            So much issues forth when I meditate on “cross-over”.  Here are a few.  Selah.

1.    Abraham ‘crossed-over’ from Ur to Canaan.  A new covenant was instated.  A new man with a new God-given plan.  Father of faith.  Expect your faith to grow in an ever-increasing measure.  El Shaddai, the All-Sufficient One and the Heaper of Benefits, now revealed.

2.    Moses (called by FIRE) led God’s people in the ‘cross-over’ from the furnace of slavery, bondage, poverty, and ill-health to the land of plenty.  As Psalm 66 so powerfully speaks, “…But you brought us to place of great abundance….”  Wow!

3.    Joshua!  What a man!  “No one will be able to stand their ground against you as long as you live.  For I will be with you as I was with Moses.  I will not fail you or abandon you” (Joshua 1:5 NLT).  What a ‘cross-over’!  Follow the glory!  ‘Cross-over’, forward, and possess!

4.    Elijah’s and Elisha’s ‘cross-over’ at the Jordan River.  Elijah was taken to heaven by a whirlwind (a symbol of the Holy Spirit).  Elisha got the mantle and a double anointing in the ‘cross-over’.  It’s time!

5.    Jesus always “went a little further” while on the earth.  Then He ‘crossed- over’.   “It was not long after he said this that he was taken up into the sky while they were watching, and he disappeared into a cloud”  (Acts 1:9 NLT).  He’s in His Place.  The ‘place’ God has for you is your place of victory, success, and prosperity in all that concerns you.  If you are willing and obedient, go a little further, and are in your God-ordained place for you – you will ‘cross-over’.

CROSS-OVER!  Selah.  Amen.
