Decree With Confidence

            Let us decree, and pray with the spirit and with the understanding Psalm 85:9 declares, “Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that his glory may dwell in our land” (NIV).  Let us place our full trust and confidence in God to hasten and perform His Word, knowing that His Word shall not return unto Him void—without accomplishment.

             To trust God only, demands and requires that we have the strength of courage to do so.  For a while it seems it would be safer to do what we can do, and trust in others to do what they can do!  This ends in frustration and confusion and disappointment and discouragement.  Break it down = dis – courage – ment.  The flesh pushed to be king.  But Jesus is King and we (in the new man—spirit) are kings in Him!

             Praise God!  The Holy Spirit is our Encourager!  He encourages us—gives us and produces within us courage! 

             Salvation: saves, delivers, preserves; God’s power is experienced; God’s blessings are manifest!

             Fear: recognizing God as All-Powerful; and in doing so the awe, reverence, worship of God and being gloriously happy and full of joy in Him will be reflected in one’s attitude and daily life.

             Glory: His glory will dwell in our land!!! 

Job 10:12 declares, “Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.”  

            Visitation: God will visit us!  His visitation will be an intervention by His superior power in order to bring about a great change in all that concerns us! 

Job 22:28 says, “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.”  Decree!  Selah!  Amen! 

Blessed assurance and hope is found in Psalm 45:6, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom” (NIV).
