Adopt this prayer for your state and for America!

Lt. Governor Sean Parnell in Wasilla, AK  on April 29, 2007

            I was asked to share how you might pray for our governor, Governor Sarah Palin (of Alaska) and her family, and for me and my family. I’d ask you to pray: 

For us: 

Ø      That we would remain united in purpose, serving Alaskans well, not self-led or self-motivated, but as free flowing conduits of God’s love and grace. 

Ø      That we would find no satisfaction in recognition or achievement, but only find satisfaction in our pursuit of the Savior and in our love for our neighbor.

Ø      That “busyness” would not become our God-substitute.

Ø      That our marriages would remain strong, and that our homes would be sanctuaries amidst the tumultuous days we run through.

Ø      That our children would personally experience God’s presence and His love in greater measure than we have. 

For our state:

v     That Christ’s light of hope would pierce the darkness of those struggling with despair.

v     That the chains of abuse and addictions would be broken.

v     That we’d be used to free Alaskans from fear and to provide hope to all Alaskans.
