Madame President, thank you, and Senators, thank you.  Let us pray:

 God of our fathers, our Lord, we humble ourselves under Your mighty hand this day, that you may exalt us, Oklahoma, and America. Promotion and exaltation come only from You. You have chosen and promoted these men and women to be leaders of the people. They are under Your authority! May their decisions and vote be Your will, plan, and purpose; and not their own will, ideas, agendas, or focus.

May the seriousness of their position and leadership be comprehended as the vote and effect upon the present and the future for this state, nation, themselves and their families, and the people.

We pray for complete healing, restoration, and restitution for all who have suffered loss from the destruction of the Federal Building in 1995. As the number 13 represents rebellion, we pray that 13 years of wounds and pain resulting from the work of enemies would be healed by You, our Healer. May this entire state and its people experience beauty and double anointing from the ashes of this tragedy. Please place within and upon them hope and trust in You, O God.

May every Senator look only to You for salvation, for You and only You triumph in ultimate victory.

“Save now, I pray, O Lord: O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity,” (Psalm 118:25).  In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Mr. President, thank you; Senators, thank you.

            As it is written, we pray, and I decree, over this Senate, Oklahoma, and this nation.

            Be blessed, Lord God. You are good and You do good and Your mercy endures forever. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in the earth is Yours, and You are exalted as head above all!

Both riches and honor come from You, and you reign over all. In Your hand is power and might. In Your hand it is to make great and to give strength. Now, therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious Name.

I pray that You will give wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to each Senator, that they may lead, and make every decision according to Your Word, will, plan, and purpose.

Give them insight. Help them to rise to a greater level of integrity. Help them to have honor and respect for authority and for one another. May they always be mindful of the sacrifices of those who have given of themselves and of some who have given their lifeblood to provide this great nation in which we live. You have not fearfully and wonderfully made us to live selfish, self-centered, petty lives, but to live a life that will honor You, this state of Oklahoma, its people, our family, friends, and ourselves. We are not self-sufficient.  Our sufficiency is from You, O God.

I pray for Your guidance and safety for each Senator and all that concerns them. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Mr. President, thank you; Senators, thank you. Let Us Pray:

Great are You, Lord our God, and greatly to be praised! We magnify You today for as it is written, “Let the Lord be magnified Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servants.” Thank You, Lord. There is no God but You! Lord, You have placed Your banner of victory and influence over this state. As Oklahoma is the heartland of America, I pray that these leaders will have Your heart. May all that is hidden continue to be revealed. Continue to give them wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Use them and this state in ever-increasing measure to proclaim and stay the course of righteousness, truth, and justice.

May the seed of Your kingdom and will continue to be planted here and reap a mighty harvest north, south, east, and west. Thy kingdom come and Thy will be done here. You proclaimed to Abraham that You would bless those who blessed him and his seed; and curse those who cursed him and his seed. As Oklahoma proclaimed their support of Israel, bless them as only You can bless.

Lord, I pray for these Senators, that great shall be the peace of their children and their children’s children for they shall be taught of the Lord; that the very thought of fear and oppression shall be far from them, for they shall be established in righteousness. I pray that no weapon formed against them or their families shall prosper.  I pray that as they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, they and their families shall be saved. Thank You, for perfecting all that concerns them. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Mr. President, thank you; Senators, thank you. Let us pray:

             What a mighty God we serve. We pray and I decree, “Lord, as this nation and Israel are the only two nations on the earth to be founded for the possession and purposes of Almighty God, may America arise and shine in the glory of God. Factually, a nation is as strong as its leadership and its families. I pray that decisions and commitment will be made to return to and to rely upon the God of our founding fathers and to the principles for which she was founded.

In God we trust. It is written, “They that trust the Lord cannot be shaken, but shall be as Mount Zion which cannot be moved.” Only in the Lord Jesus Christ do we receive a kingdom which cannot be moved. Give us Your grace to enable us to serve You acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

May we fully understand that pride goes before a fall. Therefore, help us to remain free of thinking of ourselves as superior because of the positions we hold in life.

May we fully comprehend that we need each other. As the eye cannot say to the ear, I have no need of you; or the foot cannot say to the hand, I don’t need you; I pray that we will not allow pride to puff us up, lest we think we don’t need others. Truly we are what we are because of Your grace and Your choosing of us.

I pray Romans 13:1, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are of God.”

I bless these Senators with Your Priestly Blessing: “The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” In the Name of Christ Jesus, our Lord. Amen.
